Starting in September, when the Gambling Act of 2005 goes into effect,
UK poker and gambling sites will be allowed to advertise on TV, but still will not be able to run paid search campaigns on Google. Despite objections by the gaming industry and by SEM companies, Google has decided not to revisit their policy. Google does accept paid-search bidding from affiliates that direct consumers to gambling sites. Google’s paid search policy does not affect natural search optimization efforts.
