From an article over at Ars Technica, “Microsoft will dunk Google in search one day, according to Microsoft CEO and developers’ favorite cheerleader, Steve Ballmer. He made the comments during the Web 2.0 Summit in San Francisco last week in response to a question by Dan Fernandez on Microsoft’s search efforts. Ballmer is very confident in the future of Live Search, and is proud of where it stands today in relation to other search engines.”
While it certainly is possible, I don’t see anything on the horizon that would herald such a shift…true personalized search might be the answer…and intuitively that doesn’t seem to be in MSN’s sweet spot.
