Yahoo & Viacom Counter Google Ad Dominance

Yahoo and Viacom announced that Yahoo will be serving up paid search ads on 33 Viacom properties, including MTV and Comedy Central. Yahoo spokeswoman Gaude Lydia Paez declined to comment on financial terms of the deal with Viacom. “It is our typical revenue-sharing deal we use with most of our partners,” Paez said. “It is exclusive, and it is multiyear.”**This shouldn’t come as a great surprise to anyone who has been following the Viacom vs. YouTube fight
